The Wanderer

Tell us about the top five places you’ve always wanted to visit.

The first place, which I’ve mentioned in previous posts is New York at Christmas. I don’t know what started it (I hope it wasn’t just Home Alone when I was more impressionable than I am now!) but, for some reason, New York with snow and decorations and trees and ice rinks feels like how Christmas should be, certainly from that quasi-commercial sense.

I would like to do the Inca trails to Machu Picchu. I realise that there are other trails but that’s the famous one I suppose. Chichén Itzá would be an alternative.

I want to go Australia, to Melbourne to see the Neighbours set and to Sydney and some of the “tourist” places. I want to see Lake Hillier too.

The biggest salt flats at Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia look pretty amazing.

And the last one, again on the Christmas theme and indulging my inner child once more, I really want to go to Lapland to see Father Christmas and have a husky sled ride!

That means I’m leaving out Disney World doesn’t it?!

I don’t know where I’m goin’
But I sure know where I’ve been
Hanging on the promises in songs of yesterday
An’ I’ve made up my mind, I ain’t wasting no more time
Here I go again, here I go again

In the place I am now, there is a salt museum. Hope we have time to see what that is all about!!!! (Prompted by your mention of the salt flats.)
