The “What Happened?” Week Review

Hello, happy Easter to all those celebrating, happy holidays to all those just pleased to have a long weekend eating chocolate.

Moo Cat got an Easter Egg (an Easter Egg specifically for cats) but I think he doesn’t quite understand why I’ve given him something shiny that doesn’t roll properly.  I’ve broken some off to give him but he’s not in the slightest bit interested.

If we were having a coffee this weekend I’d possibly still be on the hot drinks after giving the iced ones a run at the beginning of the week.  Might have another ice cream though.

Right then.  What’s happened this week?

Erm…

Erm…

Well, let’s start with work seeing as that’s where most of the last month or two have started.  I’m still finding it a little hard to wind back up in to being properly employed, at least as “properly” as you can with a contract only until the end of the year.

I spent weeks losing motivation and I haven’t quite got it back yet because my new project hasn’t started yet.  Trying to get in to the office for 9am let alone my supposed 8.30 start is proving difficult.

If you read yesterday’s post you might have gathered that I’m pretty tired.  A combination probably of not sleeping well, not sleeping enough and probably being dehydrated most of the time aren’t helping.  I have no idea why drinking water seems to be so hard! I need to get better at it anyway.

I’ve been feeling a little strange this week.  Every now and again I get ideas about things apropos to nothing and they seem real.  I know that makes me sound weird but it’s the best way to describe it.

I really can’t remember what else happened this week!  I’ve had fun and been out and stuff but nothing really out the ordinary!  So I might just end in the normal way.

Four new Pokémon this week! I CAUGHT A SHINY!

Yes, there was a little fist pump when that happened.  And I am a little embarrassed.

I’ll leave you with a song off an album I’ve been enjoying listening to this week.

There’s blue skies all around me
And the world looks just the same
It’s hard to be criminal
when you all know my name
Sometimes I wonder
Sometimes I wanna be free
Well, you can be king of me
And I’ll be the queen

No one listens to me
The words I have to say
There ain’t no doubt about it
I’m just trying to get away
I’m going back to the river
Where no one will find me
We’re going back to the river
Back to the sea

When I was just a baby
My mama taught me
“Girl, you best believe in Jesus
If you’ll make it in the world”
I’m going back to the river
Where no one knows my name
I’m going back to the river
Back to the Seine
Here we go

There’s blue skies all around me
And the world looks just the same
It’s hard to be criminal
When they all know your name
Sometimes I wonder
Sometimes I wanna be free
Well, you can be king of me
And I’ll be the queen

No one listens to me
The words I have to say
There ain’t no doubt about it
I’m just fading into gray
I’m going back to the river
Where the devil can’t find me
I’m going back to the river
Back to the sea
