It’s been reported that a man from Russia travelled to Mexico and left without his bollocks, penis or nipples.
It’s common to hear of people surviving cancer, realising that they can’t take anything for granted and going on life affirming journeys, some literal and some metaphorical.
Thirty two year old Adam Curlyale finished his cancer treatment and then decided that his albinism was going to be a thing of the past. He proceeded to have 90% of his body, including his eyeballs, tattooed to his favourite colour.
On the subject of his changing image, he said: “I always knew that I was different from the rest of society. My favorite color, for example, has always have been grey, in different tones, and that’s why my current skin color is graphite.”
Having completed all that, though, Curlyale has decided that his manhood “interfered with the aesthetic enjoyment” of his darkened physique, so he travelled to Jardines Hospital in Guadalajara, Mexico to have the operation to remove his penis, testicles and nipples.
I don’t know what to make of it. It feels excessive, but it’s his body. His girlfriend his said to be supportive, but then it’s his body. I also wonder what influences are at play.
